It is a lazy film that seems content with just matching similar movies within the genre. Challenging tests of morality that take very little coaxing. Opportunities for twists that never happen. Throughout the movie, there are tense scenes with no tension. Not because of spoilers-since it happens so early in the film-but I feel that revealing what happens will give you very little reason to see the movie, since it’s the only scene worth noting in the film.
I will not reveal what happens during the actual hunt. There they meet the locals, get drunk, have a roll in the hay with 2 young women with way more make-up than necessary, and they wake up bright and bleary-eyed in the morning ready to hunt some deer.
